Alan Chin:

Alan Chin was born in Berkeley, California in 1987. His is a local Bay Area artist who has won countless awards for his style and his artistic abstract representations of life. His motivations and main inspirations began in the year 1990 when, at the early age of three, he designed a sweater for the San Francisco based Department Store Imagnims where he won first place. Inspired by his parents, teachers and peers, Alan has learned to create masterpieces from his experiences in life.

In 1998, Alan won first place in the Suburban Women's club, and in 2002 his painting won first place in the Art Room Gallery LASF competition. In 2003 he won fourth place in the Sun Valley art competition, first place in the Art Room Gallery competition for sculpture and painting, and second place in the Congress Women Tauscher's art competition for the United States of America and had his work displayed in the Washington, DC congress office. In 2004 Alan was selected to design a mural for the John Muir Radioactive Oncology Department Medical Center Hospital in Walnut Creek for cancer victims, and he won third place and a scholarship in the Teen Art competition of Sun Valley Mall. Through Alan Chin's everyday experiences, he collects and stores ideas ready to be placed into his works of art. Alan's creative background has given him a distinct style and form of painting.
