Andre de Baubigny:

Often called a Renaissance man, Andre de Baubigny's interests range from Wall Street to politics, from art and antiques to fine wine and haute cuisine.

Andre reflects his passions in rich, vivid oils on canvas. Born on Cote d'Azur, he draws from the French Impressionists for inspiration as he captures the vineyards and scenes of the Napa Valley. Abundantly layering color to achieve the luminescence he desires, Andre also fills his canvases with his favorite sights from throughout his travels around the world. Gondolas in Venice, the gardens of France and Italy, wild animals stalking in the African bush are among the landscapes he paints.

As an attorney consumed with mergers and acquisitions of major companies, painting was a pastime. Devoting full time to his art, it is now his principle focus.

A private man, Andre chooses not to show his works in galleries, but selectively gives them as gifts to his friends and family. In gratitude for the Trauma Center saving the life of his wife Gretchen, he consented to create a Heart for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.
