Giving Life to the Community

Artists

David Fullarton:

David Fullarton creates deeply personal, vibrant yet darkly humorous paintings that celebrate his childhood heroes, memorialize his life events, and gently mock human foibles. He delights in lifting phrases and images out of context, and like an antic storyteller, he creates new meanings for them. His paintings mingle text, numbers and images painted and collaged against brightly colored grounds. Although they may seem casually composed at first glance, they reflect his strong sense of graphic design.

David Fullarton was born, raised and educated in Edinburgh, Scotland, but has lived and worked in San Francisco since 1995. He is represented in the USA by Hang Art, and regularly shows work at their galleries in San Francisco
