Deborah Hamon:
Deborah Hamon is a Bay Area figurative painter. Her current work investigates ideas about the construction of identity focussing primarily on girls. She blends fiction and reality to create imaginary portraits of girls on the brink of self-discovery.
Hamon received her MFA in 2002 from the University of California, Davis. After graduate school, she was awarded an Affiliate Artist position at the Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, California where she currently has a studio. She has had three solo exhibitions at the John Natsoulas Gallery and has participated in group shows throughout California. Her work can be found in numerous collections including Rene di Rosa/di Rosa Preserve, Morgan Flagg Collection, UC Davis Shields Library Permanent Collection, R.H. Phillips Winery as well as many private collections throughout the country.
Deborah Hamon was born in South Australia and currently lives and works in Marin County, California. She is represented by the John Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, California.
