Amos Klausner & Josh Levine:

Amos Klausner is the director of the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA). Dedicated to the advancement of communication graphics, AIGA is the largest and oldest professional organization for designers in the country. Before AIGA, Klausner worked in the architecture and design department at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art with former curator Aaron Betsky. While at the museum he was involved with exhibition planning, accessions and public programming in support of architecture and design exhibitions. Klausner also spent time at the American Institute of Architects in Boston. Working with world-renowned architects, graphic designers and artists, Klausner is responsible for bringing critical and creative thinkers to the Bay Area to discuss their work and coordinate professional programming through a series of annual lectures, conferences, and panel discussions. He currently serves on the board of the SFMOMA Architecture + Design Forum and the Holocaust Center of Northern California. Klausner is a graduate of Boston University and studied with artist Kiki Smith.

Graphic designer by trade, Josh Levine studied at the Museum School in Boston and received a bachelor's degree in engineering psychology at Tufts before earning a second degree in design at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. In 2001, while a student, he worked as a designer for the identity firm Landor, and in 2002 he traveled to the Netherlands to study advanced design. He received a Hallmark scholarship for his graduating portfolio, and his professional work has been featured in several design magazines. His current position as "epiphany engineer" at Neutron allows his to pursue his passion for communication design, business strategy, and creative collaboration.

Join us in marking the 2-year anniversary of the Hearts in San Francisco city-wide art installation project at HEROES & HEARTS.

3 new Hearts in the series will be unveiled, while 12 TableTop Hearts will make their debut, all designed by prominent local artists and available for purchase at the luncheon. In addition, we will be honoring several local heroes for their exceptional and inspirational actions which help make San Francisco the first-class city it is.
