Gustavo Ramos Rivera:

Gustavo Ramos Rivera has shown his prints and paintings nationally and internationally since 1968. Known for his rhythmic and colorful abstracted compositions, Rivera's work has been featured in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santiago, Chile, Santa Cruz Museum of Art and the Oakland Museum, as well as San Francisco's Galeria de la Raza and Southern Exposure. In 2004, his work will be the subject of an exhibition opening in Mexico that will travel through Mexico and the United States.

Gustavo Ramos Rivera is represented by Hackett-Freedman Gallery in San Francisco. He was born in Ciudad Acuna Coahuila, Mexico and is self taught.

Join us in marking the 2-year anniversary of the Hearts in San Francisco city-wide art installation project at HEROES & HEARTS.

3 new Hearts in the series will be unveiled, while 12 TableTop Hearts will make their debut, all designed by prominent local artists and available for purchase at the luncheon. In addition, we will be honoring several local heroes for their exceptional and inspirational actions which help make San Francisco the first-class city it is.
