The Emergency Department

The Emergency Department was originally designed to address the needs of 40,000 patients annually. Last year the Department treated twice that number. As a result of a successful San Francisco General Hospital Foundation fundraising campaign, the triage and medical screening areas will be modernized to provide a private and comfortable environment for patients.
