George Russell

Bio

George Russell, a Marin County native, is currently Associate Art Director for San Francisco Chronicle Magazine. His great passion is editorial cartooning, and to that end his editorial cartoons have appeared in many Bay Area publications including the San Francisco Chronicle and the Marin Independent Journal.

The By George and Friends studio is at the base of Mt. Tam in Kentfield, where he resides with his wife and well-fed Rat Terrier. When not mountain biking, cleaning out raingutters, or giving the dog a belly-rub, he can be found there trying to come up with the next great cartoon idea. George is honored to be chosen to participate in Heroes & Hearts for 2008.
