Carl Augé

My vocabulary of images relates to personal and geographic biography, holding resonant themes about a background in the American Deep South. Originally from Tennessee, my source material primarily evokes the city of Memphis. Image choice, however, proceeds into further investigation, being the means for daily exploration in painting/drawing. I received and MFA from California College of the Arts in Spring 2005, and remain active as a musician within underground audio culture. I currently live and work in Oakland.
